Our Story
It began with Dollar
Dollar came into our lives quietly. What was meant to be temporary stayed. We had just moved to Dubai. Life was in that in-between phase, not quite settled, not quite rooted. And then Dollar arrived, not with noise or demand, but with a presence that slowly filled the space.
He became our constant. Calm, steady, and deeply loyal. Some dogs are loved. Others teach you what love really is.

We believe pets deserve better.
Better food. Better care.
Always, before anything else.
The way we chose to love him
We cooked for Dollar. Not as an experiment. Not as a trend. But as instinct.
Real food. Warm, balanced meals made with grains, good fats, quality protein, and vegetables. We paid attention. We adjusted. We learned what his body responded to.
Hydration was always a challenge for Dollar, especially as a Dalmatian with a known sensitivity to kidney health. So we adapted. His meals became softer, more moisture-rich, and more nourishing. Because hydration is not just about water. It is about how food supports the body.
This became a core belief for us. At The Pet Chef, we integrate hydration into every meal. Through broths, balanced moisture, and thoughtfully prepared recipes that support kidney health and overall wellbeing.
When love meets limitation
Despite everything, Dollar fell ill. There were long days, quiet worry, and moments of both hope and acceptance.
We gave him everything we could. And when it was time, his body decided.
Loss changes you. It does not end the story. It reshapes it.
Jovi came into our lives later, another Dalmatian, but with very different energy and nutritional needs. What worked for Dollar could not simply be repeated. It reminded us that every pet is different, and pushed us to go beyond instinct and into the science of nutrition, refining how we create meals for unique pet needs.
Why The Pet Chef began
After Dollar, one question stayed with us.
Why is feeding our pets well still considered optional?
What we had been doing was not extraordinary. It was simply intentional. And intention should not be rare.
The Pet Chef was born from that space. Not as a business idea, but as a continuation of love.
For the ones who trust us
We are a family of pet lovers, but also a family deeply rooted in food.
With dalmation dad, Chef Bobby Kapoor, leading the kitchen, our approach is grounded in experience, instinct, and a deep respect for ingredients and how they support the body.
Alongside him, Chef Jayan, a cat parent himself, brings both technical expertise and a genuine understanding of what it means to cook with care for cats. His perspective has helped shape how we approach feline nutrition, ensuring our meals respect their unique needs while staying true to the same principles of balance, freshness, and intention.
This is not about trends. It is about knowing what goes into the bowl and what it does once it is there. Balance over extremes. Quality over shortcuts. Nourishment over noise.
Our pets do not choose what they eat. We choose for them.
And in that choice lies responsibility. And a quiet opportunity to care better.
The Pet Chef exists for those who feel that.
How we cook today
Every meal at The Pet Chef is made the way we cooked for Dollar.
Fresh ingredients. Thoughtfully combined. Cooked with purpose.
No fillers. No unnecessary processing. No compromise on what matters.
Food you recognise. Food your pet benefits from.
In Dollar’s memory
Dollar gave us a lifetime of love. The Pet Chef is how we continue to give it back, not just to one pet, but to every dog and cat that becomes part of this journey with us.
Our vision
Our vision is simple. That every pet parent in Dubai chooses fresh, real food for their pet. Because they deserve nothing less.
